Straw yellow with golden reflections. Surprisingly, in the nose less Traminer typicality than in the blend with Riesling. Restrained bouquet with hints of rose blossom and orange marzipan. Balanced on the palate, as expected low in acidity, but with a good phenolic spice that tends slightly bitter. Very good length.

Straw yellow. The nose, with its typical Traminer aroma and the scent of rose blossom and lychee, suggests a monovarietal wine. Only on the tongue does the fine acidity attract attention to the Blend partner Riesling. A hint of blackcurrant is unusual for the composition of the grape varieties. Fine, phenolic bitterness in the long finish. Requires air.

Pale yellow with discrete turbidity. Fine spicy nose with hints of star fruit. The herbaceous notes from the bouquet continue on the palate, the Veltliner-typical “pepper” clearly reveals the grape variety even in the blind tasting. The wine is well balanced and has facilities for an advantageous ripening development. Very good length.

Bright yellow-green. Complex, not easy to grasp bouquet, dominated by barrique perfume and tropical fruits. Creamy on the palate and clearly recognizable as a child of the 2018 vintage due to its acidity structure. Shows a fine spiciness and very good length. May polarize, but is at the beginning of a hopeful development.

Greenish white gold. In the nose aromas of citrus and tobacco. On the tongue spicy and herbaceous. Mineralic foundation. With pull on the palate, but also slight bitterness. Currently strongly marked by carbonic acid and overall not yet conclusive. Needs time. Whether he will have the facilities one day to follow the excellent 2017, I currently can not estimate.

White gold lemon yellow. Bouquet of pink grapefruit and blackcurrant. In contrast, green and herbal notes predominate on the tongue, while fine pyrazines reveal Sauvignon Blanc as a grape variety in hidden tastings, although the resemblance to Scheurebe is astounding. Herbaceous foundation, good balance, acidity and bite. Very long.

Weakly glowing lemon yellow. At first it seems as if the Domkaule resemble the Rüdenet very strongly this year, but after a few hours of air there are finally serious differences. Overall, the Domkaule appears to be somewhat weaker than the Rüdenet, the fruit is acidic, and also the very present carbonic acid does not yet find any binding. Good length.

Pale yellow. Especially on the first day with a cool aroma both in the nose and on the tongue. Green herbaceous notes and soft hints of cassis are reminiscent of Maximin Grünhäuser Rieslings from the Ruwer valley. Pleasantly astringent on the palate with a delicate bitter component and moderate sweetness. Good length.

Golden yellow. Wide bouquet with scents of apple and roasted nuts. The wooden insert seems idiosyncratic, but the aromas coming from the barrique blend in well and lead to a harmonious overall picture, provided that the wine gets enough air after opening the bottle. Vitalising acidity. Good length and persistence.

In the bouquet, in addition to primarily vegetable and herbaceous notes, restrained aromas of peach and peach stone.
