Bright cherry ruby. Extremely complex bouquet with aromas of cassis, cranberry and raspberry, but also with an earthy component. Memories of walking through a fir forest where it hasn't rained in a long time, with scattered mushrooms growing on the ground, come to mind. Tart and spicy Pinot fruit, subtle vegetal notes, partly sandy, partly coarse-grained tannins. Very good length. Some bay leaf and caramel on the finish.
