The rating of the wine reflects the mean value from a tasting by our jury.
The wine was evaluated in a blind tasting.
The wine was tasted as a barrel sample or before an official test number (Amtliche Prüfungsnummer or Staatliche Prüfnummer) was issued.
The wine exhibited a sensory abnormality during our tasting. This does not necessarily have to be a qualitative defect or a wine fault. In the case of a qualitative impairment, a devaluation or rejection was made depending on the type and severity of the defect or wine fault.

Pale, delicate greenish white gold. Already in the nose, it signals progressing, inappropriate ripeness in the form of a beginning firn, currently only held in check by the primary and secondary aromas. In addition, floral scents and peach notes are perceptible, which do not really want to match the typical Ürziger Rieslings known in the wine world. On the tongue, the wine, misunderstood not only by Ernst Loosen but also by his VDP colleagues as a Großes Gewächs, looks like the litre bottleing of a large winery, which is to be placed on unsuspecting wine drinkers by a discounter. Here, the VDP's internal quality control has bitterly failed. Sweet and sour and without contours, Loosen has succeeded in vinifying his banal drink completely bypassing its origin. For a dry Riesling unacceptably sweet taste. It lacks any depth. Medium length and without any noteworthy sustainability. Does not develop to its advantage with air. Low potential for maturation.
