Now aromatically much more nuanced than a year ago. Greenish straw yellow. Mineral nose with aromas of melon, red apple, and Williams pear. Juicy Silvaner with vibrant, elegant acidity. Pronounced extract sweetness. Complex length and impressive persistence.

Light lemon yellow colour. Differentiated bouquet, characterised on the one hand by a fine honeydew melon, on the other with stone fruit and partly citrus aromas. Melon again on the palate. Good structure and complexity. Complex interplay of flavours. Vital acidity, mineral flavour. Very good length and persistence.

Quite sparse on the palate with a superficial slenderness, somewhat out of keeping with the estate's style, which is otherwise characterised by delicate juiciness. A pandering to the zeitgeist? Quite piquant acidity. Good length.

Light lemon yellow colour. To give honour to the truth: We do not recognise this wine as a typical Muscat. There may be reasons for this that are beyond the control of the producer. Especially as we know that the Luckert family has produced very good wines from this grape variety in the past, which could even stand comparison with the brilliant Muscat wines of Hans-Günter Schwarz. On the nose, we perceive unpleasant soapy aromas. A floral note with few aromatic contrasts follows in the mouth. Delicate hints of orange. Restrained acidity. Floral, long finish.

We were often somewhat critical of the Gelbkalk Silvaner in earlier years, but in 2023 it seems to be carved from a different stone. Light lemon yellow colour. Spicy, partly herbal notes in an otherwise still very undeveloped nose with yellow-fruity nuances. Lots of juice and fine herbal spice on the palate. Multi-layered, almost vibrant minerality. Vital acidity. Outstanding length.

Greenish yellow. Beginning tertiary ripeness in the complex bouquet. In the nose yellow fruity aromas, partly herbal, partly floral. In the background some caramel and strawberry. Spicy on the palate with great depth and elegance. Vibrant minerality with ethereal components and delicately hinted bitterness reminiscent of fennel. Excellent length. Quiet but minute finish, again with some fennel on the tongue.

Grey lemon yellow. Impressive bouquet of shell limestone with hints of mint. The fine but clearly focused peach fruit appears when the wine glides over the tongue. Spicy, ethereal foundation with lively acidity, integrated in a creamy texture. Persistent shell limestone minerality. Consistently dry and yet charming. Great potential.

Mainly green-yellow, with a white-golden touch. Stylish bouquet with a pleasant floral-vegetal, yellow-fleshy scent. The aromas emanating from a still green, not quite ripe wild strawberry are in the air and convey tension and depth in the nose. Very good presence on the palate. Well-balanced acidity, excellent balance, fine spiciness, excellent length and persistence. In gracefully matured, complex and in every respect coherent Sauvignon Blanc. Still has reserves for further years.

Bright straw yellow. Delicate herbaceous, slightly floral fragrance of ripe yellow fruits and their pulp with hints of toasted and salted almond. Well-integrated alcohol of 13 %, powerful at the start, but without any clumsiness. Similar to its 2008 predecessor, but with a much more fruity and less sparse mouthfeel. Tastes very dry, but still harmoniously balanced. Of typical “shell limestone plush” well veiled acidity. Some extract sweetness in the finish. Excellent length with adequate depth.

Bright straw yellow. No cheeky fruit nose, but rather a rather introverted scent of yellow fruits with a delicate, elegant hint of marzipan. In the background also floral aromas and hints of dried hay. On the tongue, despite a moderate 12.5 % vol alcohol, with a powerful attack. Bare fruit, expressive minerality, marked by shell limestone. Tastes very dry, but is harmoniously balanced. Coherent in every respect. Excellent length.

Dense lemon yellow. Lush silvery scent of melon with a distinct herbal spice underneath. Delicate nuances of yellow apple. Interplay of shell limestone and keuper. Also in the mouth marked by the herbal, mineral spice already perceptible in the nose. Despite a moderate 12 % vol alcohol, it is quite body-conscious. Concise but ripe acidity. Tastes very dry. Good length. Needs some air after opening the bottle.

The tasters are only given access to further information that goes beyond the subject matter if it is absolutely necessary for understanding the wines.
🕓	We only had limited time to taste the wine - typically during an open tasting event, such as a wine fair. It was therefore not possible to observe the development of the wine in the glass over a longer period of time. The informative value of our rating may therefore be limited under certain circumstances.
⛬	The wine was tasted as a barrel sample or before an official test number (Amtliche Prüfungsnummer or Staatliche Prüfnummer) was issued. We only accept samples of unfilled wines in exceptional cases, and then only if we can assume sufficient stability in the bottle for a period of at least three months.
▲	During our tasting, the wine showed conspicuous sensory characteristics. This does not necessarily have to be a wine fault. We categorise the quality and quantity of the abnormality and include it in the rating. Wine faults such as cork taint or an atypical ageing generally lead to a complete rejection.
