Vinified in tonneau. Greenish yellow. Mineral fragrance with fine wood spice, partly herbal, partly floral with hints of white flowers. Delicate vanilla from the wood. Aromas of citrus, green apple and the skin of a yellow gooseberry. Lively, fine-nerved acidity on the palate. Animating freshness, at the same time slightly creamy. Very herbal, shows some elderberry especially in the finish. Excellent balance between body, fruit and acidity. Tastes very dry. Excellent length.

Bright greenish yellow, tending towards straw. Discreet ripeness on the nose with a pronounced peach aroma and hints of roasted coffee bean and green herbs. Juicy Riesling fruit, delicate sweetness at the start. As the wine lingers, the fruit recedes into the background, the wine presents itself drier and is increasingly dominated by minerality. Delicately vibrating, ripe acidity. Very long.

Bright green-yellow with pronounced church windows at the edge of the glass. As usual in the 2010 vintage, the nose gives the impression of an advanced development that does not correlate with the actual maturity. The bouquet shows a harmonious interplay of yellow-fruity and yellow-fleshy notes, slightly roasted coffee beans, fine spiciness and subtle aromas oscillating between tropical and red berry fruits. Olfactory perception is confirmed on the tongue. Juicy and, at the same time, creamy on the palate. The acidity is well integrated, perhaps even a little too polished. Aromas of honeydew sweeten the finish. Outstanding length. Has still reserves for further ripeness in the bottle. Until 2020, possibly beyond.

Lemon yellow with green reflections. Still youthful bouquet with at most subtle tertiary influences. The discreetly appealing peach mutates in the mouth to a juicy and expressive fruit, supported by a spicy and lively play of sweetness and acidity. Very good length.

Lemon yellow with green reflections. Restrained nose with beginning tertiary maturity and hints of peach. On the tongue with a more pronounced ripening note, the fine phenolic component of which lends backbone to the crystal-clear and now opulent peach fruit. Thanks to vital acidity and residual sweetness, a juicy and animating fullness of fruit is created. Very good length.

🯅The rating of the wine is based on a single taster. The taster is named in the context of the rating. The tasting was either open or blind. In case of a blind tasting, it is explicitly labelled as such.
🯅🯅The rating of the wine is based on two tasters. The tasters are named in the context of the rating. The tasting was carried out according to the four-eyes principle, in which both tasters agree on a joint rating.
🯅🯅🯅The rating is based on a tasting by our jury and indicates the Mean value calculated by us from the individual ratings of the tasters. Our mean value is based on the median.
The wine was evaluated in a blind tasting. We have strict rules for blind tastings. The tasters do not receive any information that would allow them to identify the wines. The tasters are only given access to further information that goes beyond the subject matter if it is absolutely necessary for understanding the wines.
🕓We only had limited time to taste the wine  - typically during an open tasting event, such as a wine fair. It was therefore not possible to observe the development of the wine in the glass over a longer period of time. The informative value of our rating may therefore be limited under certain circumstances.
The wine was tasted as a barrel sample or before an official test number (Amtliche Prüfungsnummer or Staatliche Prüfnummer) was issued. We only accept samples of unfilled wines in exceptional cases, and then only if we can assume sufficient stability in the bottle for a period of at least three months.
During our tasting, the wine showed conspicuous sensory characteristics. This does not necessarily have to be a wine fault. We categorise the quality and quantity of the abnormality and include it in the rating. Wine faults such as cork taint or an atypical ageing generally lead to a complete rejection.
Tastings that refer to the same bottle of a wine are visually summarised by a dotted line.
