Bright golden to amber yellow with greenish reflections. Dense, floral and honeyed, mineral scent of ripe tropical fruits. In the second nose even some marzipan. Aromas reminiscent of herbal sweets. Full-bodied Spätlese of classic character with moderate sweetness, located in the border area between fine tart and fruity-sweet flavours. Concentrated and juicy on the palate, slightly warming but well integrated alcohol. Elegant acidity. Subtle complexity and great depth. Very long and persistent. Still in excellent condition.

Bright, concentrated, pure golden yellow. Fulminant ice wine aroma. The nose focuses on aromas of partly candied pink grapefruit. Despite the sweetness, recognisable varietal typicity. No signs of advancing maturity. Seems rather youthful. Perfectly orchestrated acidity, great balance. Discreet honey spiciness. Outstanding elegance and lightness, almost weightless on the tongue despite all concentration and fruit opulence. Enormous depth and length. Everything really fits together here.

Dark amber gold with golden brown parts. Complex bouquet of dried nectarine and the caramelized crust of a crème brûlée. Despite 9.5 % vol alcohol, it is light as a feather on the tongue and without any bitterness. Delicately creamy and at the same time slender opening. Perfect botrytis selection. The natural rusticity of the Rieslaner is transformed into pure elegance on the palate. Every gram of sugar and acidity seems like a mosaic stone in the right place. The sweetness not too opulent, the acidity excellently integrated. Perfect balance. Outstanding length, reverberation for minutes.

Dark, brownish copper red. High viscosity. A firework display of dried fruits on the nose. From dates to citrus fruits to stone fruits, pretty much everything is there. On the palate, this is a noble sweet Rieslaner of breathtaking complexity and infinite depth, which, despite its enormous concentration, has a high degree of elegance and radiant freshness. It coats even the back corners of the mouth with a fine creaminess, without seeming in the least bit cloying. A ripe, piquant acidity lends the flavour a wonderful tension and sets the tongue in vibrations. The sweetness is naturally in the foreground, but it does not get in the way. Hours of finish and a memory that is likely to last for decades. A great wine with perfect balance, combining apparent opposites. Part of Germany's wine culture heritage.

Mahogany color. The nose is a pure concentrate of dried date and apricot with subtle hints of toffee and cream candy. Although the powerful but well selected botrytis has led to an enormous compression of sweetness and acidity, and also the alcohol with 10 % has a weighty say, the Beerenauslese surprises with its unique balance. All taste parameters are harmoniously, almost symbiotically connected with each other and shine together like the stones in a perfect mosaic. Abysmal and highly complex. Great noble sweet Riesling with excellent length and minutes-long reverberation. A masterpiece.

Dark mahogany gold. Fulminant aroma of dried fruits with hints of citrus, apricot and date. Also fine roasted aromas and notes of caramel. On the palate, for all its concentration, surprisingly elegant and fine, almost light-bodied. Outstanding depth and balance. Even after more than twenty years of bottle ageing, it still has a youthful, lively acidity. Perfect botrytis selection without any bitterness. For all its sweetness, not a trace of stickiness. Excellent length.

Mahogany colours with lightening of dark amber. Botrytis nose. On the palate still with intact structure and balanced sweet-acid ratio. Enormous concentration, due to the high alcohol content of 10 % quite far in development. Nevertheless, it shows no weaknesses and still presents itself vital and with dense fruit aromas, which are most reminiscent of dried citrus fruits and date. Good presence in the very long finish.

🯅The rating of the wine is based on a single taster. The taster is named in the context of the rating. The tasting was either open or blind. In case of a blind tasting, it is explicitly labelled as such.
🯅🯅The rating of the wine is based on two tasters. The tasters are named in the context of the rating. The tasting was carried out according to the four-eyes principle, in which both tasters agree on a joint rating.
🯅🯅🯅The rating is based on a tasting by our jury and indicates the Mean value calculated by us from the individual ratings of the tasters. Our mean value is based on the median.
The wine was evaluated in a blind tasting. We have strict rules for blind tastings. The tasters do not receive any information that would allow them to identify the wines. The tasters are only given access to further information that goes beyond the subject matter if it is absolutely necessary for understanding the wines.
🕓We only had limited time to taste the wine  - typically during an open tasting event, such as a wine fair. It was therefore not possible to observe the development of the wine in the glass over a longer period of time. The informative value of our rating may therefore be limited under certain circumstances.
The wine was tasted as a barrel sample or before an official test number (Amtliche Prüfungsnummer or Staatliche Prüfnummer) was issued. We only accept samples of unfilled wines in exceptional cases, and then only if we can assume sufficient stability in the bottle for a period of at least three months.
During our tasting, the wine showed conspicuous sensory characteristics. This does not necessarily have to be a wine fault. We categorise the quality and quantity of the abnormality and include it in the rating. Wine faults such as cork taint or an atypical ageing generally lead to a complete rejection.
Tastings that refer to the same bottle of a wine are visually summarised by a dotted line.
